The Lewis County Nursing Home Auxiliary has been in existence for over twenty years. We are a volunteer group of approximately 50 women that donate our time to aid the Nursing Home. We are located in Canton, Missouri. Our Nursing Home is a 5 star rated Nursing Home and we are very proud to be associated with it.
Our mission is to enhance the lives of our residents during their stay in our home. Our members are active in the following ways:
We hold monthly birthday parties, twice a year, in the Spring and in the Fall. We also assist with church services every month.
We assist with special events, such as parties, dinners and memorial services. We hold an annual Christmas tree trimming party. And provide financial assistance with various purchases.
We funded and built the Whispering Memories Garden, that we maintain for the residents.
And we visit with the residents as often as possible.
We meet the first Monday of each month, in the Nursing Home's activity room at 2:00 pm. Or on the second Monday if the first Monday is a Holiday. Our annual dues are $5.00. All Nursing Home residents are honorary members. Our fund raisers are bake sales, white elephant sales and the sales of memorial bricks, for placement in the garden.
New members are always welcome.
